சங்கீதம் 140:1-6

கர்த்தர், பொல்லாத மனுஷனுக்கு உன்னைத் தப்புவிப்பார், கொடுமை யுள்ளவனுக்கு உன்னை விலக்கி இரட்சிப்பார்.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் பொல்லாப்புகளைச் சிந்தித்து, உன்னுடன் யுத்தஞ்செய்ய நாள்தோறும் கூட்டங்கூடுகிறார்கள்.

சர்ப்பத்தைப்போல் தங்கள் நாவைக் கூர்மையாக்குகிறார்கள், அவர்கள் உதடுகளின்கீழ் விரியன் பாம்பின்விஷம் இருக்கிறது.

கர்த்தர், துன்மார்க்கனுடைய கைகளுக்கு உன்னை நீங்கலாக்கி, கொடியவனுக்கு உன்னை விலக்கி இரட்சிப்பார், அவர்கள் உன் நடைகளைக் கவிழ்க்கப்பார்க்கிறார்கள்.

அகங்காரிகள் உனக்குக் கண்ணியையும் கயிறுகளையும் மறைவாய் வைக்கிறார்கள், வழியோரத்திலே வலையை விரித்து, உனக்குச் சுருக்குகளை வைக்கிறார்கள்.

நீ கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: நீர் என் தேவன் என்றாய், கர்த்தர், உன் விண்ணப்பங்களின் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பார்.
